Rainy world.

My patch of land does not have
tall oaks or yew trees around me.
It has a little swing for two
and a blank wall like slate across it.
I have tall Mast trees
on which I conduct
gentle nail scratching like squirrels :
a failed attempt to enter the tree bark.
There is no battle of music
between rain beats on the roof
and a cow bell jingling in the breeze.
Beautifully they compliment.
My swing is controlled
up and down I go.
Up and down again.
I have mastered this meditation.
The rain and tea excite my godown of memories,
the pen inks them
and the obedient blank paper
welcomes everything.
I have swing,
I have music.
I have memories,
I have words.
I have imagination,
I have rain.
I am not generous
to give away any.
It's a wonderful poem.

ReplyDeleteI ejoy having te in the rain,the poet is enjoying the music of rain and roof which are movind of wind,the poet watnts to enjoy his life like little squirrels, who try to go up but, can't,the poet is also enjoyed the music of cow bell,tea is refreshing all the golden memories, the poet is enjoying everything in the rain annd do not want to leave any chsnce to enjoyment.

ReplyDeleteઉપર્યુક્ત કવિતામાં લેખક પોતાની વર્ષા સમયે ઉત્પન્ન થતી સંવેદનાઓને કાવ્ય સ્વરૂપે દર્શાવે છે. કવિ તે સમયે સર્જાયેલા પ્રાકૃતિક સૌંદર્ય ને ખૂબ જ માળે છે. તેઓ કહે છે કે મારી ફરતે ઘણાં બધાં મોટા વૃક્ષો છે.સંગીત અને વરસાદ ની વચ્ચે કોઈ પણ પ્રકારનો battle નથી. આ વાતાવરણ ને જોઈને મારું ડોલનું (ઝૂકવું) રોકી શકતો નથી. ઉપર થી નીચે હું ડોલતો જ રહું છું અહીંયા તેઓ કેટલા ખુશ એ જોવા મળે છે. વરસાદના આ વાતાવરણમાં ચા સાથે તેમને કેટલીક જૂની યાદો તેમને યાદ આવે છે. પેન અને કાગળ વરસાદ નું સ્વાગત કરી રહ્યા હોય તેવું લાગેછે. કવિને આ સમયે પોતાના ગીત, જૂની યાદો, કલ્પનાઓ, આ વરસાદ ને કારણે તેમને બધું જ ખૂબ જ સુંદર લાગે છે. અંત માં કવિ કહે છે કે હું એટલો બધો ઉદાર નથી કે કંઈ આપી શકું . આમ, કવિ પ્રકૃતિ સાથે થયેલો અનુભવ ખૂબ જ સુંદરતાથી આલેખન કરે છે. અંતિમ પંક્તિ માં તેઓ પ્રકૃતિ એ આપેલ ભેટ નો આભાર વ્યક્ત કરે છે પરંતુ તે કંઈ આપી શકતા નથી એવું કહે છે ત્યાં જ તેમનું बड्डपन દેખાઈ આવે છે.
